The lodge sits within sprawling grounds on the bush clad fringes of Lake Wakatipu and near the settlement of Glenorchy It is built in the grand style of the finest alpine lodges and finished with native New Zealand timber and stone The Great Room at the heart of the lodge has 30 foot high bridge beam ceilings that soar above the framed view through massive windows The Games Room is complete with its own pool table shuffle board and television lounge with 60 screen The lodge also features separate male and female steam rooms and a spa pool looking out across Lake Wakatipu to the Humboldt Mountains Hidden away beside the lodge the 18m x 6m outdoor heated lap pool is open during the summer months and captures the alpine environment with lake views to the south
