December 2006 the theme of the entire hotel reflects the grandeur of once upon a time Portuguese Goa as evident from the various medieval motifs that dot the hotel On entering the hotel you are welcomed by a mosaic tiled fountain with a grandiose wooden beamed porch with hanging lights in the backdrop where the stained glass windows of the lobby area can also be seen The open lobby and reception area boasts of a high domed ceiling with wooden beams and a wrought iron chandelier in the center The interior includes tall terracotta planters plenty of seating alcoves with period furniture and swords and shields with a coat of arms design on the walls Stained glass windows envelope this large space while hand painted tiles lampshades and the other accessories reflect past Portuguese glory Rooms The Lemon Tree Hotel Amarante Beach Resort has 65 air conditioned rooms of which there are 11 Garden rooms 33 Pavilion rooms 14 Plaza rooms and one Terrace Studio room besides a Heritage block that has 2 Heritage rooms 3 Heritage Studio rooms and one Heritage Suite Of the 65 rooms four are exclusive non smoking rooms and one room is designed to accommodate the needs of physically challenged individuals The interiors of all the rooms are similar with the coat of arms theme and are furnished with double or twin beds a large wardrobe a study table and a seating area
