The Guest House on Via Sistina 149 is on the second floor with elevator of an ancient palazzo It opened in the year 2002 and was decorated by Tommaso Ziffer who incidentally also decorated Rome s Hotel de Russie Our personal touch is in the many ornaments around the house brought back from our travels a porcelain monkey hanging from the ceiling light Chinese dumpling holders used as soap boxes and fashionable fabrics throughout the house from Paris London China India Expect an intimate luxurious Rome accommodation a fantastic location near the Spanish Steps unusually designed rooms and first class service We treat our member guests like friends and all is based on trust There is a Turkish Hammam Bath big enough for 3 people and 5 elegant rooms in this Rome accommodation All Rooms have TV with satellite channels air conditioning tea coffee making facilities Wi Fi Internet hairdryer Please note that for all arrivals starting 1st of January 2011 a city fee will be applied 3 Euro per person per day This fee is not included in the hotel rate and it s to be paid directly at the hotel IMPORTANT NOTICE Our check in time is between 2 p m and 8 p m Should you check in after 9 p m it is necessary to let us know at least 1 day in advance otherwise 100 Euros will be added to your bill sorry we have to call in a Housekeeper Surrounding AreaRome Room TypesIndian Room The last room on the right at the end of the corridor is the Indian room It is a very colorful and bright room with Indian furniture such as the wonderful wood carved cabinet at the bottom of your queen sized bed To go to your en suite green yellow hand made oriental mosaic bathroom with shower pass through the heavy silk taffetas yellow curtains and the small powder room with its antique chess table Should you need to relax in the Turkish Hammam it is just up the stairs American Cousin s Room Pass the bar and newspaper table area and the library corner and enter on the left the American Cousin s room The room has a truly modern high tech feel to it large flat screen television shiny black modern furniture Wi Fi Internet and a grand king sized bed Moreover you ll find heavy fabric curtains and bedspread from Paris a shower and tub in the bathroom and a view on via Sistina the street that leads to the top of the Spanish Steps Flower Room The Flower Room was named as such because everything in the room is covered in flower print fabrics including the walls After a day walking Rome and the Spanish Steps you will appreciate a nice shower in the room s ensuite green yellow mosaic bathroom and should you want a relaxing Turkish bath the hammam is just upstairs from your room Before going to sleep in your large queen sized bed a last glance at the obelisk at the top of the Spanish Steps should secure wonderful dreams Zebra Room The very eccentric Zebra room has optical black white prints on the bed head and a zebra print curtains deep red floors and ultra modern furniture with a 1970 s feel The large floor to ceiling double glazed window gives out on to a balcony from where you can enjoy the morning sunshine and below you the street life of the Spanish Steps area The black white mosaic bathroom has shower tub Tommy s Room Tommy s room is one of the smallest rooms of the house It was named so being a copy of Tommy s Ziffer own bedroom in his Paris apartment Tommaso Ziffer is the famous interior designer of Casa Howard via Sistina who also designed the very grand Hotel de Russie further down the road Your queen sized bed has a canopy in toile de Jouy brought back from Paris Pass by your bed and walk through the heavy taffetas curtains to reach the mosaic bathroom with its stainless steel sink and mosaic shower
